I Try to Steal Pepper’s Treerat

Proud Pepper at rest

Pepper was so very proud at having caught and killed a fluffy tailed treerat

Pepper's just caught treerat

Pepper’s just caught treerat

He trotted around the yard with such pride letting no one near him.

Pepper proudly trots the yard

Pepper proudly trots the yard

Finally he settles down to rest

Proud Pepper at rest

Proud Pepper at rest

This is when I spied with my feline eye a delicious fresh killed treerat

I spot the said treerat

I spot the said treerat

Thinking

How to get around Peppers pride

How to get around Peppers pride

I sneek ever closer

I sneak ever closer

Maybe if I fain disinterest

Zippity Hummmm

Zippity Hummmm

If I look away when he looks at me

Dumdeee Dummmmmm

Dumdeee Dummmmmm

Oh dear temptation bested my patience

Temptation

Temptation

A deep throted growl greets me

He growls as I close in

So, did you get the treerat? You can’t leave us hanging like this!

  2. Shawna says:

Are Treerats the same species as squirrels? I have never seen domesticated dogs or cats eat squirrels????

    • Bodacious says:

Yes tree rats are squirrels and both dogs and cats eat them. Humans also eat squirrels in the USA the stew is called Brunswick stew it is traditionally made with squirrel, rabbit or opossum meat, but chicken is most commonly used in modern versions.
